Isaac's 1st haircut

He is only 3 months old, but he needed a haircut.. bad!! He was starting to get that mullet look.. haha.. His hair was getting to long from the back. My husband convinced me into cutting his hair today befor his bath. I was just a little afraid of him using the clippers and of course Isaac ending up with bald spots! Good thing everything turned out good! No bald spots for Isaac! He did so good! I love my baby! Enjoy the pictures!

Here is my baby Isaac at his first birthday party. Presley turned 1! It was such a cute Minnie Mouse themed party. Isaac slept the whole time, but I have pictures to show him when he is older! He even wore his Mickey Mouse bib!

At 7 weeks, he is still sleeping most of the day! Im not lying when I say he sleeps 22 hours out of the 24! haha.. He is such a good baby.

He is drinking 6 oz every 3 hours.

Most of the people say he looks like both of us. I guess we will wait and see who he looks like more when he gets older.

Who needs to do weights when you have to carry a baby? :) He is heavy!

Week 5 - Superbowl

Isaac is growing fast! He is starting to smile a lot! I love to see him smile when I talk to him or kiss him.

This week was the Superbowl. We went to Juan's house and had a great time. I loved how Isaac , Yuliana and Johan were matching!

Here they are taking pictures together. They love eachother so much! Yuliana is so good with Isaac. She helps me a lot! She sings songs to him, throws his diapers away and even tells me when he is crying because he is hungry. Johan is still too young to understand! haha..

Isaac's 1st month appointment

He weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. He is a big happy healthy boy!

Week 3 & 4

It has been a super busy 4 weeks! Its a little hard when your schedule, sleeping patterns, going out; basically your life changes instantly! But let me tell you its the greatest feeling having our baby with us! We are having the greatest time with Isaac!

I cant believe he is almost 1 month old! Time does fly!

At 4 weeks, Isaac:

*is eating around 4 oz every 3 hours.

*sleeps mostly all day

*smiles a lot

*scratched himself for the first time :( I did cut his nails after this!

*stares at me and follows my movements

I took Isaac to Pei-Wei for the first time yesterday! I cant say he loved it, he slept the whole time. :)

My mom has been helping me A LOT! Thanks mom!

Isaac loves his "chupon"! He needs it to go to sleep! I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing!

He does cry when it falls, so we have to immediately give it to him or he will wake up or cry!

Mrs. Pena is my aide at Gilbert El. She is awesome! She had not had time to visit and meet Isaac because she was sick. She finally had the chance to meet him last week! She fell in love with him! She was amazed at how much hair Isaac had! She brought a plush toy, that sings the ABC's (of course :)

She also brought me some cards that my students made for me. I seriously cried when I started to read them! They made me happy!

His nina, Alma, gives Isaac his baths. Thank God for sisters because Im still a little scared to take him baths all by myself. He sleeps so comfortable after his baths and feeding.

Here is Isaac at his 1st Doctors appointment. His weight was 7 lbs. 7 oz. Isaac is a healthy baby!

Its amazing at how my baby responds to me. I was talking to him while waiting for the Dr. asking him to smile for mom.

Look!!! he did smile for me and I was able to take a picture! He is such a happy baby, he smiles a lot!

At 2 weeks old, he is still so tiny. I am scared to take him a bath, so my sister is the one helping me. Here is Isaac clean and fresh thanks to nina! Loving the mohawk he is styling!

Week 1- Christmas 2010

Most of Isaacs first week was spent at the hospital. Im glad we went home before Christmas. We stayed at my moms for about a week, since I had a c-section and needed a lot of help with the baby. My family was great! The first week, Isaac mostly slept. He didnt even wake up to eat. We had to wake him up so he could eat.

Isaac was the greatest gift this Christmas!

Yuliana and Johan were so curious about Isaac.

I got two "My 1st Christmas" outfits for my baby shower. He wore them both! Look at him how cute he is!

Finally we meet our baby! He was born 9 days before his due date, which was good! I wanted to have him before Christmas, and we did! This picture was taken one day before I had Isaac. Good thing my mom asked if she could take some pictures. Moms always know!

I started having contractions around 11:30 p.m on 12/18/10. I stayed calmed and took time. I was having them every 4 - 6 minutes. I decided to go to the hospital and have them check me. They were contractions, but was only 1cm dilated. So they decided to send me home around 5 a.m. I should have just stayed there because I went back to the hospital around 8 a.m with horrible contractions. I was dilated 4cm at 8 a.m. I got the epidural around 11 a.m and I was feeling good after that!!

My husband, and our families were there the whole time. When it was time to push, I was very nervous and excited at the same time! I pushed for 3 long hours but ended up getting a c-section. Isaac was not coming down, and his head was getting swollen from all the pushing. I admit it, I cried once my doctor told me I was having a c-section. I was scared, but that was the only way I could have Isaac. Not to mention I started feeling the contractions for a good 40 minutes right before going to the operating room. I was fully dilated and in pain!!! I had to get a double dose of the epidural.

Eri was the only one who went in with me to the operating room.I was really scared. Thank God everything went great!

Here is Eri cutting the umbilical cord. I could clearly remember Eri's face, with a huge smile, as he met Isaac for the first time.

This is one of my favorite pictures! This is when I first met my baby Isaac. He was so beautiful. My life had changed for ever. Its the greatest feeling ever!

While I stayed in the operating room, Isaac was taken to the nursery and Eri went with him. He was a healthy 7lbs. 9oz baby boy!

There, they gave him his first shoots, took weight, measurements, his first bath, footprints and visit from the family.

Our families were so excited to finally meet Isaac. He is loved by so many. My parents were so proud of me and fell in love when they met Isaac.

I was hoping for Isaac to have blue/green eyes like my dad, but he didnt! Maybe my next baby will!

After a 31/2 long days stay at the hospital, we finally went home. Here is Isaac getting ready to go home. I love this cute outfit I got in my baby shower. So tiny! By the way, he only wore it once!

When I had the 3d ultrasounds done, the technician let us know Isaac had a lot of hair! Indeed, he did! Check him out!

The day we left the hospital, my sister picked me up. It was the cutest thing ever to see my niece and nephews reaction once they saw Isaac. They were both confused, didnt know what was going on. Johan just stared at Isaac the whole time. Look at his face! haha.. I love my baby Isaac!

Johan's 1st birthday party

Johan had his 1st Toy Story birthday party yesterday! It was such a cute, fun party. We had a great time with friends and the kids loved it! My sister set up an area for the kids to play. It was the Sunnyside Day Care, just like in the movie. There were toys, a coloring area, movie area, race tracks and more! You should have seen how the "Sunnyside Day Care" looked after the kids left! haha..

Johan had so much fun playing. We did get a few pictures with his Toy Story alien costume. He looked so cute!

Isaac's Blessing Ring

I had been wanting to make Isaac's Blessing Ring for a while, but I've been so busy and tired I had not had a chance until today. My sister and I went to Hobby Lobby and I bought all the materials needed. Its super easy and inexpensive. It holds all the baby shower cards and giftcards they gave Isaac. It looks great in the room! I am planning to work on his picture canvas soon!

Isaac's Safari Room

We decided to go with a Safari theme for Isaac's room. After the gender reveal party that we found out we were having a boy, I came up with this idea. I wanted something unique and colorful!

Colorful room, happy baby!

I got these chip paint samples from Home Depot and loved the combination! I was lucky enough to find a crib bedding set that went perfect with the colors.

We decided for the main colors of the room to be lime green and brown. Accent colors: we used blue, orange and tan. I think he is going to love his room!

We still need to finish putting up some decorations, but they are mostly pictures. We have to wait until he is born. I am thinking of doing some cool picture transfer canvas for his room. They will have that antique/vintage look. Hopefully they will turn out good! On one side of the wall, I will have 12 small canvas (8X10), one for each month until he turns 1. I can just picture it! Above his crib, I will have three large canvas; 2 with his newborn pictures and one with all his birth info. We cant wait to meet our baby Isaac!

We took out the carpet and put laminate! It looks better!

Instead of a dresser, I bought these cubbies that I found at Target! They have these cute colorful baskets! The colors go perfect!

I really wanted stripes for the main wall, and I got them! It was a lot of work, but worth it!

During the gender reveal party, we received a lot of diapers and wipes!

On Saturday November 6th, we had Isaac's Baby Shower! Since I'm decorating his room with a safari theme, I loved of having the same theme for his baby shower. I know I'm planning way ahead, but his 1st birthday party might be the same theme! :)

I am very happy to know that my baby Isaac is loved by so many and so blessed! We had around 55-60 guest at the party! Everything turned out wonderful! My mom and my sister did a great job of putting everything together! The decorations, the food, games, appetizers; everything turned out great! Isaac received so MANY gifts! We loved everything!

My husband and I took a late anniversary trip to San Diego. Better late than never! I am in love with San Diego and the climate is perfect! It was a last minute trip we planned but we had the greatest time. We went to Coronado Island, Sea World, Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park and Mission Beach. We loved this trip. I haven't seen my sisters family in over a week! I am dying to see them. As you know, they had to move to Yuma. There was no work here for my sisters husband, so they had to move. 4th of july weekend

We usually travel for the 4th of july weekend, but this year is different. Since my dad lost his job several weeks ago, we have not really traveled. We cant! This year we decided to go to the Tempe Town Lake. It was actually really fun. Watching amazing fireworks for one complete hour is actually nice. Its not often you see fireworks except when you go to Disneyland. :) I want to go so bad. Here are some pictures we took on our short trip to Tempe Town Lake.

Diamondbacks Game

Eri and I went to a Diamondbacks baseball game today. It was really fun! Even though they lost, it was a good game. Eri won two tickets, lucky him! I was glad the roof was closed because it was 110 degrees today! It was hot! I almost felt I wasn't going to make it when we were walking back to our car. It had been a couple of years I had not been to the Chase Stadium. Its beautiful! Enjoy the pictures!

I totally forgot to post about this great surprise! Guess who is pregnant again? Yep, my sister is pregnant for the second time! We are very very happy and cant wait to meet the baby. Due date is December 26th, 2009! Time needs to go faster so we can meet the baby.

Even Yuliana was super excited she is going to be a big sister! Look at her. Remember the pregnancy tests where it showed a + if you were pregnant or - if you were not. These new pregnancy tests read "pregnant" or "not pregnant". How crazy is that!

We love going to Amazing Jakes. We got this great deal at Sam's Club which is worth over $300 in coupons for Amazing Jakes and we only paid $26. So if you go next time, you might see us there! We love bowling. Even though we are not great at playing, we have a lot of fun!

Its so funny how Yuliana cracks up when something funny happens. See for yourself in this picture! Isn't this funny? I think I just sneezed kind of loud and she burst out laughing.

Summer Break

School is out, summer's in! Yeah! I do miss working at school but I'm glad its our summer break. We did a fundraiser for my brother the last two days of school. His diabetic medicine is so expensive we needed a little help. His principal was so nice to let us do a Tamales Fundraiser. There were several teachers who helped us by buying tamales and some donated money! We also made enchiladas! Thanks to all who helped!

Later that night, the school my sister works at had a Skateland Night. It was Luau skating party. So of course little Ms. Yuliana wore her cute Hawaiian outfit. The moment we walked in the building, she was dancing, laughing she was loving it! It was fun.

Yuliana has her Nina Martha's eye lashes! Check it out for your self! She has the longest most beautiful eyelashes, and she wont need to curl them at all. I had to take these pictures of her sleeping. Pardon for the food all over her face! haha.. it gets crazy when she eats. She gets messy. Look at those cute lips!

Wednesday was my brother Daniel's 6th grade "promotion". We are very proud of him. I cant believe he will be a 7th grader next year. Time went by so fast. I took him to eat to McDonalds for doing such a good job. We love you Daniel!

Yuliana is only 8 months old but she has traveled more than me! The first three pictures were recently on their trip they took El Golfo. Look at her with her cute bikini! She is adorable! She also likes to chew on her sandals! :)

First of all, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my parents for their 28th anniversary! Wow.. 28 years married plus 8 years of dating! I admire my parents so much. They are truly the best parents ever. Look how hot they look! I love them so much. They have truly given their everything to teach us the love of God, how to love life and especially how to love family. I thank them for making me the person I am today. We have spent so many great years together. We have traveled so much together and no one will ever take those memories away. I just want to say I love them, I admire them and I thank God every day for the wonderful parents I have.

We presented Yuliana in church. It was really nice because we had a lot of our family from my moms side. They also baptized Luis Angel, my cousins boy. The nice thing about this is we presented my niece Yuliana in the same church my siblings and I got baptized in. Every time we go to Mexico we still go to this church.

We were just having too much fun! She loved the attention and having the greatest time ever.

This is my cousin Javier. It had been a couple of years we had not seen him. It was really nice spending time with him and talking to him. He is a true man of God. He works in a rehab center helping others. I admire for what he does. Yuliana loved him.

We had a little get together at tia Lucias house. Here is a picture of my moms siblings. One of my uncles couldn't be in the picture. They are 8 brothers and sisters.

Sunday, my cousin Diana and Daniel had their wedding. It was in front of the ocean. It was beautiful! At first it was way to cold and windy. The weather got better as the night went on. We had a great time.

Visit to the E.R.

Last night was no fun. We were on our way to Phoenix when on the way there, I had a breathing attack. I had trouble breathing and chest pain. It was horrible. My husband stopped at the E.R. and I checked in. I hate hospitals. I get weak. I don't like them. What a baby I am! When it was time to put the IV on me (never had this before) I freaked out. Yes, I am terrified of needles. I get so scared I faint. If you didn't know this, now you know! I almost fainted but I was ok. After an hour, I had a herical (spiral) CT scan of my chest to look for blood clots in the lungs. Thank GOD I have no blood clots but I was diagnosed with PLEURISY.

Pleurisy is a swelling or irritation of the lining of the chest cavity and lungs. Pleurisy causes sharp chest pain that is worse when breathing in. I googled "pleurisy" last night to learn more about it, and its a little scary. They couldn't tell me why I had it and that makes me a little uncomfortable. I need to take an anti-inflammatory for several days and hopefully it will make it better. If it doesn't, I will need to go check in again. I've been so healthy all my life and now this. I know I will get better. There is just so much going on, all I want to do is relax for a bit.

My mom, sister and I planned a bridal shower for my cousin Diana. They will be getting married in April. How exciting! Block Party: NBA All Star 2009

Plans for Sunday evening were to go and have fun at Golfland. On our way there, we were listening to the ready about a "Block Party" they had for the All Star 2009. My husband said "lets go and check it out". It had been a couple of months I hadn't been to Downtown Phoenix so we went. I am glad we went! We had so much fun! We saw a couple of basketball players and players who are in hall of fame. It was really fun. Check out some of the pictures.

This game was fun. Its a game to see how high you can jump. As you can see in the background they had how high the players can jump. I think the highest one was 12-6. Well, they were impressed with my husband! Man, he can jump! Well he is 6'1, but he jumped pretty high.

Here is my little brother. He impressed everyone also. He jumped high! He had so much fun! Im glad he liked it!

Here are some pictures of my husband jumping. Man, he had fun! We were laughing because I kept telling him, be careful don't get a cramp in your leg! We haven't exercised in a long time so I was worried he would get hurt if he tried to hard! :) Look at peoples face in the pictures, I think they were impressed!

I won this game! We had to shoot the ball from the free throw, and guess who made it! Yes, me! We tried this game twice, but I only won 1. I won a ticket to the Jam Session that will be on Monday. I think we are going!

My really good friends and I got together tonight at Wenddy's house for a BBQ. We are 7 friends that we have known each other since high school and we meet usually once a month. This time, 3 of our friends couldn't make it but we still met. Oh man.. the food was delicious! Wenddy was so nice to cook carne asada and ribs. Even though she almost burned the house down! :) We were there for about 3 hours. We had a great time talking, remembering old times. Yesenia is due in a couple of weeks, but I don't know if she will make it by the end of this week. She had a couple of contractions while we were talking. She is ready to have her baby girl, Yazmine! Thanks girls! I had a great time!

When I got home, my husband opened the door for me and... look.....

he shaved his beard! He looks .... different.. he said he wasn't going to shave until we had kids! I guess he is getting the point it was going to be for a while until we have kids.. haha.. I guess he just got tired. He looks good!

Phoenix Open

So I receive this email from my dad with these pictures. George Lopez! You member.. haha.. God is so good. My dad's boss gave my dad and another worker free tickets to Phoenix Open. Free entrance, free drinks, free food free everything! How great is that! There were all kinds of celebrities and my dad said it was wonderful! They had a great time! How fun is that? I wouldn't mind free tickets to an event like this! My dad said that when he was taking a picture with Lopez, a guy said "That is beautiful" (he meant the picture) and Lopez immediately said, Beautiful, I dont think so! hahaha.. He said that everyone was laughing. George Lopez is just funny! Here are some pictures they took! Enjoy!

My mom, sister and I went to Olive Garden for lunch yesterday. We usually go out to eat a lot, but we hadn't been to Olive Garden in a while! It was Yulianas first time going there, and she loved it! She was busy looking at everyone at everything! In the first picture, I dont even know what she was looking at.

In this second picture, she was having her lunch while we ate! Apple Juice! Its so funny, she makes weird faces.

In this picture, her and I were having so much fun. She kept on laughing and talking!

Here, she kept on staring at the beautiful lamp above our table. I guess she had never seen a big lamp before! :) She has our eyelashes!

Happy Birthday Humberto!

Yesterday was Humberto's birthday (my sisters husband). Poor him, he got out of work around 8:00 P.M. So we went out to eat around 9:00. He turned 23! It was our family and then my husbands family that got together. We had a really good time.

Today was Maribel's baby shower. The baby shower took place at the hospital. She was hospitalized on Tuesday and they didn't want to cancel plans, so they just moved locations to the hospital. It was really nice. The party was in the courtyard. We had a really good time. Maribel is due on Feb. 28th, and I think she will be staying at the hospital until baby is born. Much blessings to you guys! Cant wait to meet you baby!

Ribbon Organizer

Yesterday I went to a few yard sales close to my house. I bought several items I knew would turn out to be great projects!

Two of the items I bought were a piece of old wood, and stainless steel knobs. Got them both for $1.50.

With a little help of paint, paper and ribbon... Look what it has become...

A beautiful funky cool organizer! I will be using it as a ribbon organizer but can be perfect to hang necklaces or bracelets! This is what I have been doing all weekend, crafts! :)

We are all ready to watch the Cardinal's game even Yuliana! Look how excited she is! She is almost 5 months, and super adorable! I love her! I traded the headband a couple of weeks ago with another etsy member. I made her a frame for her daughters nursery, and she made me the headband and a beanie. So cute!

I bought this item today at a yard sale I went too. Got it for only $1. It was dirty, old and not the most appealing organizer.

But..............

Llook at it now!!!! Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... isn't it lovely? I love the color combination pink and brown!

I first cleaned the item.

Spray painted "Espresso".
Let it dry.
Added a beautiful Bazzill paper flower and pink jewels, and this is how it turned out.

We are having the greatest time ever! Its fun spending time with family and the parties are great! We have been eating like crazy! There is food everywhere we go! The good thing, and its true, I lost 5 pounds before I came to Mexico because I know you gain them back easily being over here! On the 31st, we started the day eating shrimp! Man, they were good! Here I have some pictures of New Year, with both sides of the family!

My grandma dancing

It is really my grandma dancing! Man shes almost 90, but she can move! She is so cute! She is so funny, and once in a while she will get a little crazy and start dancing just like in the video! She was sick for a while, to the point where she couldnt even talk or walk. But look at her now! Im glad she is doing good.

So we got here at around 7 p.m. They had an engagement party for my cousin Diana and her boyfriend. They will be getting married in April. We also had a pinata because it was my cousin Bettys birthday. They had a mariachi for 5 hours it was great! We had a really good time with family. Its only the beginning.

Its been so cold lately, I don't even feel like going out! The other night, my husband and I decided to rent a movie, buy Sonics and stayed home! It was nice. Our house was warm and cozy. A little gift I made for Tawnya!

Tawnya was our wedding photographer. She is a great person who helped us a lot during our wedding. She was funny, helpful, very nice that talked to everyone! All of my family loved her! Also, she was a little shocked of how Mexican weddings are! She was surprised at all the things we did. She had never seen many of the things we did in our wedding. I think she had a really good time, and she took wonderful pictures! I will post some of the pictures soon!

I decided to make her this frame to thank her. The frame matches her business logo, so I think it will look very nice in her office desk. But, its all up to her! Hope she likes it!

We had a wonderful Christmas eve, and we are having a wonderful Christmas day! Believe it or not, even on the morning of Christmas eve, I was still buying presents!!! I even wrapped them a couple of hours before opening! I know, such a late shopper! ;) I had received my check that same day, so that's I why we bought presents yesterday!

We went to church around 7, came back around 10 p.m. We ate dinner, hang out for a little and opened presents! We always play a game where each puts $1 and gives a guess of how many gifts under the tree. Who ever is the closest, wins the money! Its a tradition! I think the most gifts we've ever had was close to 200, but we had family over that time! This time, there were 93 gifts under the tree. My brother Javier was the closest! But being the nice brother he is, he gave the money to my youngest brother Daniel!

Yuliana, my niece got the most gifts of all!! But of course, she is the baby! I almost went broke buying her stuff! She probably has clothes for a whole year!

We all got very nice gifts! We had a really good time. We laughed a lot, talked, prayed, took pictures, hugs, kisses etc... xoxo... We had a great time as a family during this wonderful day, the birth of Jesus Christ. We always celebrate in big!

Yesterday, my mom, sister, Yuliana and I got together at my moms house to make tamales! Its a tradition to make tamales this time of year! We only made about 6 dozens, so it was not bad. After making tamales to raise money for my sisters trip to France, let me tell you, I did not want to see tamales for a very long time!!! After almost 7 years, I finally see tamales again! We each have our job when making tamales! So we finish fast! So tonight my dear friends, we will be having tamales for dinner! Yummy! Even Yuliana at such a young age is learning how to make tamales! haha. ;)

After coming from my moms house, Eri and I wrapped presents. We both "suck" at wrapping presents! I mean big time! hahaha.. But I wrap them a little better than him.. hahaha... Here is a picture we took while wrapping presents! Not the best picture ever, but to give you an idea of how messy our living room was! We only wrapped 4 presents, got tired and went to bed! ;)

This morning I woke up around 9:30. I cleaned up a little from the Christmas Party we had yesterday, and created this beautiful "Clippie". (Thats how I named them because you clip on things).
I just cant stop making things! Thats right, Im a craft addict! haha... I really need to decorate my craft room. It is to plain. Im thinking of painting the room a turquoise color, but still not sure. I just want to make it more artsy looking! Right now, the room is half painted tan and half painted beige because my husband has not even finished this room. He blames me saying I did not wait, and put all of my craft stuff in the room. So now, he cant paint! Hes just funny! The "Clippie" turned out so cute. It is so colorful and stands out in the room a lot!

Christmas Party

This morning, while we were cleaning our house for the Christmas party, we heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door, and there was 3 of our neighbors daughters saying Merry Christmas and giving us cookies. One of them told us, my family and I made these for you! It was so cute! They are pretty young. They were really good chocolate chip cookies! Here is the picture of the plate of cookies they gave us.

We had our Christmas party today! It was really fun. We had a little over 40 guest! So it was a little crowded at times but really fun. For food we had carne asada tacos, rice, beans, ceviche, teriyaki chicken, crab cake, fruits, cheesecake and much more! It was a potluck party, so everyone brought something. The food was delicious! We had friends that had never been to our house and they liked it! Here are some pictures we took tonight!

Its almost Christmas???

For some reason, it doesn't feel like it. Maybe its the weather, or maybe its because I have not done any Christmas shopping. I don't know what it is. Actually, it was freezing today! I was glad I did not have duty at school, or else I would have frozen out there!

I am almost finished with Christmas cards. I will be sending them out tomorrow! Maybe I went a little crazy buying Christmas cards. I bought like 10 boxes!!! I truly love Christmas time, it just hasn't hit me that Christmas is in 10 days! :)

We had my aunts and cousins come visit us from Mexico this weekend. I think they are coming next weekend too! They love spending time with us!!! Here are some pictures we took Sunday! My baby Yuliana is so cute! She is at the stage where she smiles, laughs and giggles! So cute!

Saturday Morning

Today in the morning, I woke up and finished a gift I am making for baby Karis, and a custom order (hair bow holder).

Kristen, a teacher who I met during student teaching, had her baby a little more than a week ago. Karis was born 7 weeks early. She is still in the hospital, but she will be able to go home soon! I am very happy she is doing well and will be able to go home! Meet Karis! She is just beautiful!

The other day I went to Hobby Lobby. One of my favorite stores by the way! ;) I can spend hours at that store and not get tired. If you have never been there before, you need to go! You will love it! Anyways, as I was in the store looking for scrapbook paper, I came across these really cute pink flowers. I thought I could maybe use them on the frames I make, but then again I thought why not for a headband! So I went to the ribbon section where I stayed there for a long time. I found the cutest ribbon, and it was stretchy perfect to make the headband. As soon as I got home, I made this cute headband for my niece. She looked so beautiful!

This frame is the one I made for baby Karis. It turned out beautiful! I saw in Kristen's blog a few pictures where they were finishing Karis room, and I saw some pink and green! Thats why I made it these colors. I love this color combination! It looks so good! The frame turned out really nice! It looks much better in person! ;) Hope they like it!

Two days ago, I received a custom order for a hair bow holder. She asked if I could paint the frame black, with pink and a splash of lavender. I think these three colors look great! The hair bow holder looks really pretty. I will ship the item tomorrow morning, and hopefully they will love it!

Owl Collage "So In Love"

I had some scrapbook paper sitting in my craft room, and decided to create something cool! I created this awesome owl collage. I love how it turned out! I cant wait to finish fixing up my craft room so I can put all of my work on the walls. I am currently working on two decoupage boxes and a few more collages! I will post soon!

Decorating for Christmas

We just love Christmas time, especially when its time to decorate! I had bought some Christmas decorations last year, ( I knew I was getting married ;) including the tree ) The tree only cost me $10 because I bought it after Christmas. It was originally $150. What a deal! I was so excited I wanted to buy another one, but we only needed one. I bought all of my tree decorations. This year, I decorated using burgundy and gold colors. Also, most of my decorations are kind of rustic, primitive style. Personally, I dont like any santa decorations for my house, so I only bought snowman stuff. I am still trying to work on my regular decorations. I even put a small Christmas tree in my kitchen! It looks so cute! :)

Fun Weekend with family

We had a lot of family come this weekend from Mexico to visit us. We always have such a great time with our family. It was my uncle and his family that came, but also my cousins Marisol and Evelyn. Saturday night, I invited everyone to come eat to our house. We cooked carne asada! It was delicious! Here are some pictures from this weekend!

P.S. If you look at my husbands beard in this first picture, he said he wasn't shaving until we have kids! ha ha.. can you imagine?? I don't think we are having kids until 2 more years. ;)

Going crazy with decoupage!!!

Decoupage (or découpage) is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf etc.

I have done a couple of decoupage frames, and two boxes. Its actually really fun! The two boxes I sold right away. I have only posted one frame, but haven't sold yet! Here are some pictures of the projects I worked on yesterday. These projects could be great to give as gifts! I made my frame very simple, but you can add so much more. I just like it simple. Also, I have started making some cool unique paintings that hopefully I can sell some prints of. I will be posting soon!

So as I was looking at some pictures in my computer, I said to myself " Martha you need a change"! It seems I have had the same haircut for ever. Right after, I made up my mind of cutting my hair and made my appointment. So here is my before picture and after! It is a change. Heather, who is the lady who cut my hair, said it would look cute if I cut it shorter from the back and left it a little longer in the front. I trusted her, so I said "sure". I loved it! After she finished cutting my hair, I told her, "you know what, go ahead and cut the bangs". She was like, ok! I needed a change, and it looks cute! So what do you think? Im bringing sexy back! Hahahahaha... just kidding.. Ive always wanted to say that!

Housewarming Party

After 8 months, we finally had our housewarming party! It was really fun. We were expecting close to 40-45 people, but only 35 showed up! Everything came out good though! Oh man.. the food was great! My lovely mom helped me cook the food. We cooked seafood! We love seafood. I was worried that some people might not like seafood, but there was actually only one person who didn't like seafood. It was Eri's older brother, but we knew he didn't like seafood. We made ceviche, crab salad, crab cakes (they came out yummy), chicken, beans, rice, potato salad, macaroni salad, Italian pasta salad and tons of junk food! I'm telling you, the food was delicious! Everyone loved the food! Even people who had never tasted what we made loved it! I'm glad. Everyone loved our house. We have done a lot of work, but we are still not finished! I think my next project is to stain the kitchen cabinets! Good luck with that Martha! :) I am a little scared of doing that, but I will risk it. I just cant imagine how they will turn out! Oh well, I will try my best. Some of the people that came to the party were outside, and I forgot to take pictures. It was too cold to be outside, but we had a fire pit and our tv outside (suns game). Thank you everyone who came to our housewarming party. It meant a lot to us having you at our housewarming party. Thank you for the gifts! I loved them!

Nice Backsplash

I just love working on our house. We had 4 parties to go to on Saturday night, but we only ended up going to two and to a bar to watch the UFC fight. After the fight, around 1:00 a.m. Eri and I decided to start working on the backsplash. Seriously, what couple works on putting tile after midnight? Only us! :) We are just perfect for each other. Before we went to see the fight, we stopped at Home Depot and bought all the tile. You should have seen me at the store. I had tons of tile laying on the floor coming up with a design.. hahaha.. People must have been, "whats up with that weirdo"? But I didn't care because I was so excited! So I did come up with the design and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Like always! :) I just love how all our projects turn out. So here are a few pictures of saturday night of us working on putting the backsplash. I will post pictures of our final project once it is complete! To finish, we just need to put the grout! So what you think?

New Logo

As you know, I have my etsy shop and its been going good. I sell handmade items, and I enjoy doing that. I really want to start making more items to sell, but decided that I needed a new logo. I love fancy scrolls and those cute birdie images. So I requested a custom logo on "Alchemy" and had 14 etsy sellers bid. They all had great logo designs but the one I absolutely loved was from TiamatDesign's Shop. Her work is awesome! After accepting her bid, and telling her what I wanted, this is what she came up with. I love my new logo!!! Now that I have my logo, I will order a custom logo stamp and start getting serious and making more stuff.

Mom's Surprise 50th Bday!!!

My mom turned 50 this year! Wow.. and she looks good! :) My dad, sister and I planned a surprise birthday for her. Let me tell you, surprise parties are the hardest to plan. The thing was that my mom only invited 3 couples to come eat at the house on Thursday. What she didnt know, is that we invited a few more people that night. She was only making food for a few, so we had to do the rest of the food. We had a great time. The theme of the party was black and white party. So you can see everyone wore black and white. We had a great time. The food was delicious, the guest had a great time and so did we. My mom was not expecting so many people but had a great time. Here are some pictures from the party.
