We are in Mexico...Day 1

My grandma dancing

It is really my grandma dancing! Man shes almost 90, but she can move! She is so cute! She is so funny, and once in a while she will get a little crazy and start dancing just like in the video! She was sick for a while, to the point where she couldnt even talk or walk. But look at her now! Im glad she is doing good.

Day 1 in Empalme, Sonora. Mexico

So we got here at around 7 p.m. They had an engagement party for my cousin Diana and her boyfriend. They will be getting married in April. We also had a pinata because it was my cousin Bettys birthday. They had a mariachi for 5 hours it was great! We had a really good time with family. Its only the beginning.

This is my cousin Marelia. She is almost 6 months pregnant. She is having a little girl! She all ready has a 6 year old son, who is my godson.

Spending time with family

I finally started working last week! :) I am so happy. I actually missed working with kids a lot. Today was a half day. I worked in a Kindergarten classroom. It was a really good class. I had fun. After work, I came home to visit my baby Yuliana. She is getting so big. I just love her so much. Here are some pictures I took of Yuliana and I. I think this first picture is such a cute sweet picture. It seemed she was smiling and looking at her beautiful aunt. :) She was falling asleep as you can see in the second picture.

My mom went to a women's church meeting today. She took a while baking this cake. It looks so delicious! It only looks delicious (I say) because we didnt get to taste it. :( Since she was taking it to the meeting, we couldnt taste it. My mom is good at baking. She decorated the cake really nice.

Who likes sushi?

Apparently my family does! My aunt Mary came from Mexico to take her daugther back. My cousin has been staying here with us for about a month and she has been having the greatest time ever. She doesn't want to leave! They will be leaving tomorrow, but before they left they were all craving sushi. So we went to the Pacific Buffet. They have good food. We all ate like crazy! Funny story, my mom likes sushi but its funny how she eats it. She gets her sushi rolls, takes all the rice off, takes the seaweed off and only eats whats left! We tell her thats not eating sushi. Ha ha ha.. We tell her poor guy who does the sushi takes for ever making the rolls so you dont eat them complete!

Here are some pictures of my niece Yuliana who is getting bigger every day. She is so beautiful. My sister bought her some tiny headbands, as you can see in the picture. She looked so cute. She is a very calm baby. Doesnt cry at all. Shes just beautiful!

Busy Weekend

Finally... I am posting!!!

AAAaaahhh.... I miss my long hair!!! I went to Mexico for 2 weeks, and while I was over there SOME people ( I wont say who haha) told me to cut my hair. They said I needed a different look. And I listened, and I cut my hair! Here is the final product! haha... I like it, its cute, but I really do miss my long hair. Its better short though, I can style it many different ways. It was getting to boring with the same do while I had my hair long.

I stayed for 2 weeks in Mexico. It was nice, but I missed my husband and home a lot!! While I was over there I went to the beach, I went out with my cousins, out to eat, went to the dentist, took care of my little cousins, we had a baby shower for my sister, visit family, just had a good time!

Below is a picture of my sister and my mom ( with super short hair) at the baby shower we had for my sister. We organized and planned the party in 2 days. She got a lot of presents, of course mostly all pink and purple. Except one aunt gave her yellow stuff, she still thinks its a boy even though they told her its a girl! Crazy huh!! She is due in a bout a month, maybe a little more! I cant wait!

We took this picture at a club we went to. Oh my, that club was packed with people. You couldn't even walk comfortable. We found a little place in the corner which was perfect! My cousins were buzzing by then, can you tell?? haha.. they are funny!

I Love My Sister

My sister is the best!!! It had such great times growing up together, pretty close in age. We are 13 months apart! We get along so good. Now, she will be turning 24 in july, I am 25 and we still have a wonderful relationship. Its so nice to hear when other people tell us they love how my sister and I get along. I wish you could see us one day, I know most of you have, when we act silly and then we cant stop laughing. It is so funny! Even know that we are older we still have a lot of those moments. We just get along great and understand each other.

My sister will be having her baby pretty soon ( August ). I am very excited and cant wait to meet my baby nephew or niece. We still don't know! :( If its a boy or a girl, I will be happy. Its just kind of weird seeing my sister pregnant. We used to talk about getting married, having kids, getting together each Sunday etc... and now that its here, its hard to believe. Its just to much happiness!

The other day that I went to my parents house, I found these pictures of my sister and I. It brought so many great memories. Everyone use to ask us if we were twins. Actually, even until know they still think we are twins. It was so funny when we were subbing because the kids would get us confused. They would ask me, Ms. Ramos did you have your baby? Where is your belly? hahaha.. and they were talking about my sister. It would happen every day! Even the teachers would get us confused! It was just funny. Enjoy the pictures!

Tough Week

Just like the title says, it has been a tough week. My aunt Sarah passed away Wednesday morning. Tia Sara was my grandmas sister. Out of 14 siblings, there were only 3 that were still alive. My aunt Carmen, Raquel and Sarah. Now, aunt Sarah passed away. Here is a picture of my 3 aunts from our family reunion a couple of years ago. In the picture, tia Sara is the one wearing all black. She was such a great person. She lived in Hollister, CA. In the summer of 2007, my cousin Raquel and I spent two weeks with them. We had such a great time. Here are some pictures of the great times we spent together as a family. We love you aunt Sarah!

So sad... :(

My brother Daniel, 10, had been sick for a week. He wasnt eating, he was very weak, he was very thirsty, going to the bathroom frequently, he lost around 18 pounds in a week, etc.. Today he was very sick, and my mom decided to take him to urgent care. They did a blood test, and we found out he is diabetic. His sugar level was at 457 and the normal should be from 75-110. Its so sad to see him how he is right now. Its been hard on everyone. He will be at the hospital for a couple of days. Please keep him in your prayers.

After 2 days of not eating, he was excited he could finally eat!!! :)
