Having Fun in July

This month of July has been really fun. What makes it so fun is because my sister is almost due! I cant wait to meet my niece. She has a name picked out which makes me really happy. Now I can start making her decorations for the babys room. Her baby shower will be this Saturday and it seems theres many people coming. Just with my family there will be at least 15 of us. Im so happy my family will come to my sisters baby shower. As you can see in this picture, she has been growing. The good thing is that shes only gained like 9 or 10 pounds. She really looks good! All the weight she gained is just from belly and boobs! :) We are very excited. My niece moves a lot! You can actually see her moving from Almas stomach. It is crazy.

Last Saturday, we got a call from tia Eva from the airport. They live in Texas and they were going to Denver Colorado to visit her daughter. They were here in phoenix for about 3 hours, and we went to go see them. They are such great people and funny. We were only there for less than an hour, but we had a great time. I showed them wedding pictures and brought so many great memories. Hope they had a great flight! Being in the airport made me want to just get on a flight and leave for vacation! hahaha.. but I cant, I will start working soon!

Last weekend my mom left to Guadalajara. They had a reunion with her siblings. 5 of them went, 3 couldnt. I heard they had a great time! If you haven't been to Guadalajara, you really need to go. It is so beautiful! I loved it when I went. I was young but I remember that trip pretty well. This is a wallet my mom brought me from Guadalajara. I loved it! The things they sell over there are just unique and beautiful. Thanks for the wallet mom!

Altered Wood Blocks

This is a different design I did! I know school will start pretty soon! I thought maybe teachers could decorate their desk with these blocks! I know thats what I would do! haha..

I custom cut these wooden block pieces, sanded the blocks , primed, paint and decorate. It actually took much longer time that I expected. But they turned out so cute! The square in the middle is a transparency. I stamped it using acrylics. It was kind of hard because the stamps moved while I was stamping. But I love how the stamping turned out! Personalized Wood Blocks

Arent these cute??? A couple days ago, I was sitting in my craft room thinking of what to do next. I just love coming up with new ideas. I've made mixed media collages, scrapbook pages, canvas art, drawings, luggage tags, frames, pencil holders, woodburning boxes, decoupaged cigar boxes and much more!

I love to do personalized, custom work and made this personalized wooden block! I received a message from a woman who just had her third baby girl in May! She loved the Ashley design, but wanted to see if I could put all of the baby births information! Of course I did, and it turned out beautiful! I loved it!

Here is the custom block they ordered! I can just imagine how beautiful it will look in the baby's room! I think green and pink are the perfect colors to decorate a baby's room(a girls room of course)! I keep telling my sister to decorate the room with these colors, but she still has no idea of what to do!

All the letters are stamped with acrylic paint. I stamp the information on transparency and it makes it a little harder to stamp on. But I love the results! Its not perfect, you can tell its handmade but thats exactly what I love about it! I hope they like their custom block!

Finally... I am posting!!!

AAAaaahhh.... I miss my long hair!!! I went to Mexico for 2 weeks, and while I was over there SOME people ( I wont say who haha) told me to cut my hair. They said I needed a different look. And I listened, and I cut my hair! Here is the final product! haha... I like it, its cute, but I really do miss my long hair. Its better short though, I can style it many different ways. It was getting to boring with the same do while I had my hair long.

I stayed for 2 weeks in Mexico. It was nice, but I missed my husband and home a lot!! While I was over there I went to the beach, I went out with my cousins, out to eat, went to the dentist, took care of my little cousins, we had a baby shower for my sister, visit family, just had a good time!

Below is a picture of my sister and my mom ( with super short hair) at the baby shower we had for my sister. We organized and planned the party in 2 days. She got a lot of presents, of course mostly all pink and purple. Except one aunt gave her yellow stuff, she still thinks its a boy even though they told her its a girl! Crazy huh!! She is due in a bout a month, maybe a little more! I cant wait!

Here is another picture I took with my sister that same day. Aaaahh... my long hair is gone!! It looks very cute short though!

We took this picture at a club we went to. Oh my, that club was packed with people. You couldn't even walk comfortable. We found a little place in the corner which was perfect! My cousins were buzzing by then, can you tell?? haha.. they are funny!

Its a baby.......

baby girl... we found yesterday afternoon.. and we still cant belive it. All through my sisters pregnancy everyone told her she was having a boy. So we really thought it was going to be a boy. But yesterday, at 7 months they told her it was a girl. They had to check 3 times because my sister couldnt believe it. The doctor kept telling her, no look, 100% girl. My sister kept asking, are you sure doctor? We were really excited though. Time to buy pink and purple outfits. Its funny because, she all ready had a name picked out for a boy, boyish colors, the room layout and now that we found out its a girl, she really has no idea. We will work on it though. We are still in Mexico. We will go back Sunday. Enjoy the ultrasound pictures.

Two moms, two pregnant ladies and me!!

Today we went to Chandler Mall to look for baby furniture. My sister will be due in August 26th, and Mayra, a good friend of ours is due in September. They had really cute things for babies! It was so funny because the two pregnant ladies had cravings. So they each bought ice cream from Dairy Queen and they were walking all around the mall enjoying their ice cream. I even took some pictures.

They were so tired, they decided to stop at this store where they sell massaging chairs. They were there for a while getting massage.

Love Digital Scrapbooking

I just bought a digital scrapbook kit online and I am loving it! I have never tried digital scrapbooking. I am still trying to learn but I look what I created! Isn't it cute?

I Love My Sister

My sister is the best!!! It had such great times growing up together, pretty close in age. We are 13 months apart! We get along so good. Now, she will be turning 24 in july, I am 25 and we still have a wonderful relationship. Its so nice to hear when other people tell us they love how my sister and I get along. I wish you could see us one day, I know most of you have, when we act silly and then we cant stop laughing. It is so funny! Even know that we are older we still have a lot of those moments. We just get along great and understand each other.

My sister will be having her baby pretty soon ( August ). I am very excited and cant wait to meet my baby nephew or niece. We still don't know! :( If its a boy or a girl, I will be happy. Its just kind of weird seeing my sister pregnant. We used to talk about getting married, having kids, getting together each Sunday etc... and now that its here, its hard to believe. Its just to much happiness!

The other day that I went to my parents house, I found these pictures of my sister and I. It brought so many great memories. Everyone use to ask us if we were twins. Actually, even until know they still think we are twins. It was so funny when we were subbing because the kids would get us confused. They would ask me, Ms. Ramos did you have your baby? Where is your belly? hahaha.. and they were talking about my sister. It would happen every day! Even the teachers would get us confused! It was just funny. Enjoy the pictures!

My parents got here last night from California from tia Sara's funeral. A lot of family went. Cousin Marcos gave my parents a CD which they played during the ceremony they held for tia. It is such a wonderful slideshow of tia Sara.

Happy B-day.. to me!!!

Yes.. I turned 25 yesterday!! 25... wow..!! I am getting old.. Its so funny because every year, on my birthday my parents tell me the same story.. and I love it.. it goes something like this..

Martha.. 25.. 25 years ago.. you were just a baby... 25 years ago today, we were holding you in our arms.. with your long spiky "chayote" hair.... wow.. we cant believe it.. we remember when you were just a baby.. and now.. you are all grown up.. you have accomplished so much.. and now.. you are married.. pretty soon you will be having your kids.. I love my parents so much.. they are great..

So.. my birthday.. I started the day wearing my cool sunglasses.. as you can see in the pictures.. just got them! I love them! I took this picture while I was on my way to my parents house.. they had a little BBQ for me.. thank you everyone for the birthday calls, for those of you who left voicemails, or if you sent an email, or text, or told me happy birthday in person, or if you sent me a birthday card... thanks to everyone!

At first I thought my mom had made the cake, cause she does bake delicious cakes! But this time.. she didnt have time to bake.. so she bought it.. It was really good..

Here I am with my husband.. my wonderful husband.. my sister and brother only put 5 candles on the cake.. they said 25 was way to many.. so each candle was worth for 5!!

We still dont know what she is having though.. we need to find out soon.. even though she doesnt want to find out.. she wants to keep it a surprise.. we are dying to know if its a boy or girl! I never realized how big she was, until I saw this pictures! Look at that size of the belly! hugeeeeee.. I had a wonderful birthday.. loved the food, i love the family, love the presents! thank you!
