Last Day of School

Today was the last day of school in the Gilbert District. I went to visit Katie, who I did my student teaching with in Spring 07. She is a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person. I learned so much the semester I was in her class. We have been good friends ever since. Here is a picture of us that one of her students took of us.

Here is a picture frame I did for Katie. I think it came out so cute! I loved it! It is very simple, but cute!

I took this picture right before I left the school. Here is Katie, Kim and I. Kim is the teacher my sister did her student teaching with. All the 1st grade teacher we worked with are wonderful! I loved how close they are, and they help eachother so much. They are all great!

After visiting the teachers, I went to pick up my brother at his school. I cant believe it, he is a 6th grader! Time goes by so fast! I remember when he was just a baby, now a 6th grader. He is very excited to go to 6th grade. Here is a picture I took of Daniel with his 5th grade teacher. Since today was his last day of school, my sister and I took Daniel to go eat. We went to Fuddruckers. It was kind of sad because, Fuddruckers didnt have a nutrition guide for their food. Since my brother is diabetic, he couldnt get to eat there. So instead, he ate at Del Taco! He was happy though! He ate yummy food! :)

Busy Weekend

This past weekend was kind of busy. We are almost finished putting the tile on. I am glad we are almost done. It took us one whole week and it had been really messy in the kitchen. I decided to move the kitchen island and our dining table. Here are some pictures that show how we moved the kitchen island.

I took my first scrapbook class ever on Saturday. It was really fun. It was an hour long class and we created 3 different projects. We did 2 scrapbook pages, and one keychain. They were really cute projects. There, we met a lady named Valerie. She was really nice. She gave us some tips and let us borrow her scrapbooking tools.

On Sunday, we had my family and my husband family come over to our house. My dad prayed for us and the house. We had a great time. My aunts from Mexico were here, and they got a chance to meet our house. They loved it! Here I am with them.

Kitchen Remodeling

There is just so much going on at our house. My husband has been working on the kitchen. We hate the vinyl laminate floor. We bought a beautiful 18X18 porcelain tile. It took us for ever to get rid of the laminate floor but we finally did. This is a picture of when we first started taking the laminate off.

I actually took this picture today. Here you can see my husband (hard working husband :) putting the tile on. It is looking beautiful. I love it!!!

New Office/Craft Room

On Sunday, we finally bought a desk for our office/craft room. Its a huge desk that goes around the whole room. It is the perfect desk for our office/craft room. I will start painting this weekend, so I can start organizing everything. I bought 4 shelves so I can put all of my stuff away. I will post pictures of the final room soon!

These are some of the projects I have worked on. I love this Rolodex. I bought it a couple months ago, but I forgot I had it. I turned it in to our new address "book". It is perfect to have as an address holder. It is easy to find any address or number you need. I just love how it turned out! I have printed all of the addresses on big labels, and I will just stick them on.

Yesterday I went to the scrapbook store, ( I hadnt been there for a while) and I saw this scrapbook page kit they were selling. I loved it so much I bought it. I loved the color combination. I finished the page, and this is how it turned out! Of course, I added some extra things and made it a little different. This scrapbook page is for 1 4X6 photo. A black and white picture will look beautiful! It feels good to go back and work on these projects! With the wedding plans, I didnt even have time! I will post more projects later on!

Beautiful Picture Frames

I have started making some really pretty picture frames to sell on my shop. Since I was really busy with wedding plans, I hadn't had a chance to make things and sell on my shop. Theres only 2 more weeks until school is over, so this will be my summer job!! :) I have to start promoting my shop so I can sell more things!

So sad... :(

My brother Daniel, 10, had been sick for a week. He wasnt eating, he was very weak, he was very thirsty, going to the bathroom frequently, he lost around 18 pounds in a week, etc.. Today he was very sick, and my mom decided to take him to urgent care. They did a blood test, and we found out he is diabetic. His sugar level was at 457 and the normal should be from 75-110. Its so sad to see him how he is right now. Its been hard on everyone. He will be at the hospital for a couple of days. Please keep him in your prayers.

After 2 days of not eating, he was excited he could finally eat!!! :)

Medrano House Makeover...

We are still not done with the living room. We decided to go with a darker color for one of the walls in the living room, but once we painted the wall, it seemed a little too dark. So I am thinking of painting another section of the wall using the dark color so it could look balanced. Everything is turning out good though. I love all colors in the brown tones. My husband finished painting the garage. I helped for a little bit, but I worked more decorating and painting inside. I was kind of nervous at first when my husband mentioned he wanted to paint the garage red, black and white. It actually turned out really good! I love it! If we install an air conditioner, it will be perfect for a game room/ get together room. We could have a bar in the corner, a pool table, some comfortable couches, flat screen.. I can just picture it! Maybe we will do that later on. It was kind of difficult to paint the way Eric did it, but it was worth it! ( i say that because I wasnt the one painting.. haha..) We meet again... at Olive Garden

The girls and I got together today and went to Olive Garden. These girls are the best! We have known eachother since High School and still remain good friends. Its so weird because we have known eachother since we were younger. Now, 5 of us are married, (2 are still single ;).. 3 of them have kids, plus my sister is pregnant, and I am the newlywed! Its great when we get together. It can get loud, really loud! What can I say, we have a good time! Here are some pictures we took.

It feels like... HGTV....

Little by little, I have been working on decorating my house. It takes a lot of time. The first room I finished was the laundry room! I was glad I had a laundry room. I always said whenever I had my house, the laundry room had to be green. Guess what... I painted the room green! Here are some before and after pictures of the room.

Memories...

I was looking at some files in my computer and I came across all of our wedding pictures. It brings back so many memories. We have been married for 38 days! I can't believe it! Time has gone by so fast! These 38 days have been fun and interesting! :) We have spent a lot of time trying fix our house. Today, we painted part of our living room, finished painting the garage and decorating the kitchen. Talking about our kitchen, we finally bought tile. That is our plan for next weekend! I will post pictures soon!
