Kitchen Remodeling

We decided that our kitchen was kind of boring with no colors on the walls. We love neutral colors especially browns, orange colors, tans, yellowish colors etc..!! We decided to go with a goldish, yellowish, mustardish color for our kitchen walls! Its like a mixture of all of those colors. The actual color name is root beer float. It reminds me of a Tuscan design. We have spent a total of 2 days and we are almost done. Its harder than it looks. Especially in our house because the ceiling is so high! So far we absolutely love it! It looks so much better now! We are still not done though! Once we finish everything I will post some more pictures! Also, we are thinking of painting our cabinets like a rich dark chocolate brown and we really want to put a really nice back splash. I have an idea of what I want, but I haven't found it yet! I need to keep searching! Its a great feeling knowing you are decorating and building your house just how you want it. And we are doing everything! Its a great feeling every time I go to my house and see what we have done! Im telling you, watching HGTV will inspire you a lot!!! I mean it! That is the best channel ever!

In the first two pictures, you can see my husband starting to take things down the walls. Now look at the first two pictures, then wowwwwwwwww.... at the third picture there is a huge difference! Adding color can do so much! More pictures coming soon!

My husband is such a hard worker. He did such a good job. I did pretty well also, but he did most of it. Also, thanks to the "little giant" we managed to finished the top part of our walls. The paint looks a little brighter because the paint was still wet. It actually looks a little darker now.

As you can see, I helped out a lot too! :) I was the one who taped and painted all the edges and corners. Its not as easy as it sounds let me tell you! But it was all worth it.

This is my final work! Ta-daaaaaaaa!! It looks beautiful!

Painting is a dirty job! Just look at me! :)
