Meet Yuliana

Finally my niece Yuliana was born. She is so beautiful and so tiny. Here is her birth information:

Yuliana Pando-Ramos
Thursday, August 28, 2008
4:20 P.M.
7 lbs. 15 oz.
20 in.

Its so funny because my sister went to see her doctor on Wendesday. The doctor told her they were going to induce her labor for Thursday at 11 a.m. Well on Thursday at 4:45 a.m. I received a call from my sister that she was on her way to the hospital with contractions. The hospital is not even 3 minutes from my house. So I got there quick. She was dilated 4 once she got to the hospital. Exactly 12 hours after getting to the hospital my sister had Yuliana. It was a beautiful feeling being there with my sister and seeing my niece for the first time. I am so happy I finally met her.

My new painted kitchen

We finished painting our kitchen and it looks absolutely beautiful! It seems brighter and the ceilings seem higher! I really like our kitchen now. Before, it was just to plain. We are still working on putting a really nice back splash and stainless steel appliances so they can match our microwave! :) Also, little by little I will start putting more decorations in to our kitchen.

Yuliana's Room

Everything is ready for the arrival of Yuliana. Her room is so pink! :) I finished her name to decorate her room. They are made out of chipboard and scrapbook paper. Here are some pictures I took of the baby's room.

Holy Cow!!!!

One morning on channel 3, they were talking about organic products that are great to use in your everyday life. The last product they talked about was a product called "Holy Cow". It is a pink cleaner that you can use almost everywhere. They were talking about how great the product is especially on carpet stains. I remembered that on our welcome back party after coming from our honeymoon, Eric's friend gave him the cleaner holy cow as a gift. I immediately remembered that we had that product and went and looked for it. Our carpets were really dirty when we moved in. We tried our best in cleaning them, but the stains were still there. Once I found Holy Cow, I sprayed a little on a small stain on our carpet. Now I know why its called "Holy Cow". The moment I sprayed, the stain disappeared and I said "Holy........ Cow" hahaha.. I didn't even have to do anything. This cleaner is great! I absolutely loved it! I haven't used it for anything else, but I am pretty sure it will work! We had family over from Mexico, they were amazed they each went to Sam's Club and bought a huge bottle of "Holy Cow" to use in their house. I took some before and after pictures because I was just amazed at this product! Check them out!

Kitchen Remodeling

We decided that our kitchen was kind of boring with no colors on the walls. We love neutral colors especially browns, orange colors, tans, yellowish colors etc..!! We decided to go with a goldish, yellowish, mustardish color for our kitchen walls! Its like a mixture of all of those colors. The actual color name is root beer float. It reminds me of a Tuscan design. We have spent a total of 2 days and we are almost done. Its harder than it looks. Especially in our house because the ceiling is so high! So far we absolutely love it! It looks so much better now! We are still not done though! Once we finish everything I will post some more pictures! Also, we are thinking of painting our cabinets like a rich dark chocolate brown and we really want to put a really nice back splash. I have an idea of what I want, but I haven't found it yet! I need to keep searching! Its a great feeling knowing you are decorating and building your house just how you want it. And we are doing everything! Its a great feeling every time I go to my house and see what we have done! Im telling you, watching HGTV will inspire you a lot!!! I mean it! That is the best channel ever!

In the first two pictures, you can see my husband starting to take things down the walls. Now look at the first two pictures, then wowwwwwwwww.... at the third picture there is a huge difference! Adding color can do so much! More pictures coming soon!

My husband is such a hard worker. He did such a good job. I did pretty well also, but he did most of it. Also, thanks to the "little giant" we managed to finished the top part of our walls. The paint looks a little brighter because the paint was still wet. It actually looks a little darker now.

As you can see, I helped out a lot too! :) I was the one who taped and painted all the edges and corners. Its not as easy as it sounds let me tell you! But it was all worth it.

This is my final work! Ta-daaaaaaaa!! It looks beautiful!

Painting is a dirty job! Just look at me! :)

Alma's Baby Shower

Last Saturday we had my sisters baby shower at my moms house! A lot of people came to the party! It was so much fun! Our baby Yuliana has almost everything now! She got so many gifts! Everything is so cute and pink! She is going to be such a girly girl! It was so nice because we had my tia Lety and her grandkids come from California. My tia Mary and Marisol came from Hermosillo, Mexico. My tia Chely and Evelyn came from Guaymas, Mexico. They all came just for the baby shower! Also my tio Chico from Empalme, Mexico. So 5 from the 8 siblings from my moms side were here! That was nice! Its so nice when you have family over! Thank you so much to everyone who came! We loved the gifts!
Look at the cutest baby cake ever!!! Isnt it cute??
